Amber Sorensen is as Austin as it gets — a proud 5th-generation Austinite who grew up surrounded by the sound of live music. With Texas country running through her veins, it’s no surprise she spends her nights in dancehalls, listening rooms, and festivals, catching more than 100 shows a year and always scouting the next big name.

Though she’s a rookie to broadcasting, Amber is no stranger to the Texas music scene. In the fall of 2022, she teamed up with her longtime friend Scotty Bennett to co-host Texas Nights on KOKE-FM. The duo’s energy quickly clicked with listeners, and by June 2024 they were promoted to the big stage: KOKE in the Morning.

On top of her radio work, Amber brings over 20 years of marketing and advertising experience to the table. Most recently, she launched her own full-service talent buying and marketing agency, blending her love for music with her business savvy.

Off the mic, Amber is the proud daughter of a retired Austin firefighter and an empty-nester mom of three amazing adult kids.
