When Eric Church speaks, we listen.
The Chief posted a video over the weekend promising that the coronavirus pandemic will end. More than that, it’ll lose because it doesn’t realize what it’s up against. The American resolve.
The video ramps up from Church stating “I don’t believe in fear. I don’t believe in panic” and that the American resolve is “steeled by the world, steadied by faith, calmed by song, healed by prayer” to where the emotions are high with a final “And I believe, I believe our best is yet to come. We shall rage. We shall roar. I cannot wait to see you again through my Ray Bans.”
Of course Ray Bans are Church’s signature look.
The video goes on to play a snippet of his upcoming song titled ‘Through My Ray Bans’ which surpisly doesn’t take away from the powerful message.
The video never feels like an advertisement, no, no, everything Church does is genuine. He’s never shyed away from doing something that wasn’t gonna earn him a buck. Heck, he got kicked off his first major tour with Rascal Flatts because he wanted to play his way.
He has one of the most loyal fanbases in all of music. This poem to the nation might earn him a fan or two more.
