Getting lost in a corn maze has never sounded more Dolly.
Twenty farms across North America have created special Dolly Parton-themed corn mazes in celebration of the 31st anniversary of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The mazes can be found across 15 states and two Canadian provinces, with a portion of ticket proceeds benefiting the beloved literacy program.
The project had been in the works for months before Parton’s passing.
Before her death, Dolly shared her excitement about the special tribute.
“I’m grateful for the support of my Imagination Library and am excited to invite people out to get lost in this year’s country music corn maze for a little fun, laughter and ‘A real good reason to get lost.’”
And these aren’t just your average corn mazes.
Visitors can put their Dolly knowledge to the test with an interactive trivia game while making their way through the maze. Participating farms will also feature Dolly-themed photo opportunities, storytelling, music and other fall farm activities.
Dolly launched the Imagination Library in 1995 in her home county in East Tennessee. The program provides free books to children from birth to age five and has since expanded around the world.
So, yes, you can officially get lost in a cornfield for Dolly Parton AND help put books in the hands of kids.
That sounds like a pretty good reason to get lost to us.
