The Wilder Blue is getting ready to release its fifth studio album, Cinco, on August 28.
The 10 track project finds the Texas band trying a few new things while staying true to the harmonies and songwriting that have helped build a loyal following. Frontman Zane Williams says the band brought in outside musicians and co writers for the first time, calling the process both exhausting and rewarding.
Fans have already heard a couple of songs from the new record, including “Texas Women,” featuring Tracy Byrd, and the band’s latest release, “Chasin’ The Sun.”
Williams says Cinco is an album that feels right at home with campfires, back roads, and long summer drives. He adds that every song was shaped by the five members of the band working together, and now they’re excited to finally share it with fans.
The Wilder Blue has become one of the most respected bands in the Texas music scene thanks to its five part harmonies and strong live shows. The band’s last album, Still In The Runnin’, was self produced and fan funded, and its version of “Seven Bridges Road” with Luke Combs has been streamed more than eight million times.
