Randy Rogers Band is celebrating 25 years of music with a little help from a whole lot of friends.
The Texas country favorites have announced Songbook, a new album featuring 15 reimagined songs from the band’s catalog alongside an impressive lineup of guests from the Texas and country music worlds.
Miranda Lambert, Parker McCollum, Koe Wetzel, Turnpike Troubadours, Cody Jinks, Dierks Bentley, Pat Green, Wade Bowen, Flatland Cavalry, Cody Canada, Ty Myers, Kaitlin Butts and more are all part of the project.
Produced by Jedd Hughes, Songbook will be released January 22.
“I can honestly say my heart is full of gratitude,” Randy Rogers said of the project. Rogers admitted he initially questioned the idea, but said hearing how the band and its songs had played a role in the careers of the participating artists changed his perspective on the project.
The first song from Songbook arrives October 9, with Parker McCollum joining Randy Rogers Band for a new version of “Tommy Jackson.” Rogers originally recorded the song for the band’s 2002 debut album, Like It Used to Be.
