If you needed an excuse to eat tacos today, here it is. Tuesday, October 6, is National Taco Day, and restaurants across the country are celebrating with everything from buy-one-get-one-free tacos to $1 add-ons, 60-cent tacos and even the possibility of winning free tacos for a year.
Here are some of the National Taco Day deals you can grab today.
Torchy’s Tacos
Torchy’s Tacos rewards members can take advantage of a buy one, get one free taco offer at participating locations on October 6.
Taco Bell
Taco Bell has several National Taco Day offers available through third-party delivery services.
DoorDash customers can get a free qualifying taco with a purchase of $22 or more. Choices include the Cantina Chicken Soft Taco, Soft Taco, Soft Taco Supreme, Crunchy Taco, Crunchy Taco Supreme, Doritos Locos Tacos and Doritos Locos Tacos Supreme.
Grubhub and Uber Eats customers can get a free Crunchy Seasoned Beef Taco or Soft Taco with a $22 purchase.
Uber One student customers can also get free Doritos Locos Tacos with a purchase of $20 or more.
Jack in the Box
Jack in the Box recently rolled out limited-edition “The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror” cups, and they went fast.
If you purchase a Munchie Meal of Horror at a participating restaurant that has run out of the cups, you’ll receive an IOU voucher good for a cup when they’re back in stock, plus two free tacos.
Depending on the voucher, it will be valid October 6 through November 8 or November 9 through November 22.
HelloFresh
HelloFresh is getting in on National Taco Day with an offer for 10 free meals plus breakfast for life.
Customers can use the code HFTACODAY2026 on October 6 to take advantage of the promotion.
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop is serving up $2 tacos at participating locations on October 6.
Rewards members will also receive a scratch-off card with a guaranteed reward. Prizes include free chips and queso, taco deals and even free tacos for a year.
El Pollo Loco
El Pollo Loco is offering three tacos for $5 through October 6.
The promotion began October 2 and wraps up on National Taco Day.
Del Taco
Del Taco rewards members can get Snack Tacos for just 60 cents each at participating locations on October 6.
The offer is limited to five tacos per offer.
Chuy’s
Chuy’s may have one of the more entertaining National Taco Day promotions.
Customers who dine in and purchase an entrée can add a Crispy or Soft Ground Beef Taco for $1. You can also add a “Floater” shot of tequila or rum to any margarita for $1.
And if you’re really committed to National Taco Day, wear a taco-inspired costume or dress like a taco. Customers who do and share a photo on social media using #ChuysTacoDay can receive a free entrée.
7-Eleven and Laredo Taco Company
Laredo Taco Company is celebrating at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes locations with several National Taco Day specials.
Customers can get buy one, get one free Potato & Egg Tacos or Chicken Fajita Tacos. There are also $5 El Gran Tocino Tacos and Burritos and a $5 Taco Meal Deal.
National Taco Day only comes around once a year, so if tacos were already on your Tuesday agenda, you might as well get a deal while you’re at it.
