It doesn’t get much more country than this.
One of the biggest moments from Alan Jackson’s farewell concert in Nashville came when George Strait walked onto the stage and the two legends teamed up for “Murder on Music Row.”
The song has always meant something to traditional country music fans, and hearing Jackson and Strait sing it together one more time gave plenty of people chills.
The performance happened during Jackson’s “Last Call: One More For The Road” finale at Nissan Stadium, where he wrapped up his touring career in front of a hometown crowd. Before launching into “Murder on Music Row,” the pair also performed “Designated Drinker,” another fan favorite from their catalog together.
You could tell this wasn’t just another duet. It was two longtime friends sharing one more unforgettable moment on stage.
The entire farewell concert was professionally filmed and will air as an NBC television special later this fall, giving fans another chance to relive the night and all of its unforgettable moments.
