Gretchen Wilson is revisiting one of the songs that helped launch her career, and she brought Ella Langley along for the ride.
Wilson has released a new version of “Here for the Party” featuring Langley, giving the title track from her 2004 debut album a fresh update more than two decades after it first introduced fans to Gretchen’s rowdy, no-apologies sound.
The release is part of a bigger project. Gretchen has been re-recording Here for the Party as a duets album, with the full project expected to arrive in 2027. The album is set to include several guest artists, including Ella Langley, Cody Johnson, Ashley McBryde, Miranda Lambert, and Travis Tritt.
The original Here for the Party album was released in 2004 and became a major breakthrough for Gretchen Wilson, featuring songs like “Redneck Woman,” “Homewrecker,” “When I Think About Cheatin’,” and “Here for the Party.”
