The Band of Heathens made an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show this week, performing their song “Take the Cake” for a national television audience.
Kelly Clarkson was away from the show, so Olympic figure skating champions Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir stepped in as guest hosts and introduced the Austin-based band before the performance.
The Band of Heathens have been a fixture in the Texas music scene for nearly two decades, earning a loyal following with their blend of Americana, rock, country, and blues. Their appearance on the daytime talk show gave viewers across the country a chance to experience one of Texas’ most respected bands.
