Lainey Wilson has released a new song called “Phone, Keys, Wallet,” and it features an unexpected collaborator.
John Mayer plays guitar on the track, which Wilson wrote while touring behind her 2024 album Whirlwind.
The song explores finding someone who accepts you exactly as you are, even when life gets a little messy.
“I feel like a tornado with boots on half the time,” Wilson said. “This song is really about finding somebody who’s okay with that chaos and chooses to love you through it anyway.”
“Phone, Keys, Wallet” is the latest preview of Wilson’s upcoming music and gives fans another look at the personal songwriting that has helped make her one of country music’s biggest stars.
