Riley Green has a brand new song out, and if you listen all the way to the end, you’ll hear a familiar voice.
Green recently released “Think As You Drunk,” a tongue-in-cheek drinking song that feels like something straight out of Toby Keith’s playbook. That’s not by accident. Riley has long cited Keith as one of his biggest influences, and honestly, this new one feels like Riley tipping his hat to Toby in the best way possible.
The song even features a sample from Toby Keith’s 2005 hit “As Good As I Once Was.” In the outro, fans can hear Toby’s iconic vocals, which makes for a pretty cool surprise the first time you hear it. Toby Keith and longtime collaborator Scotty Emerick are also credited on the track.
“Think As You Drunk” is the first taste of Riley’s newly announced album, *That’s Just Me*, which is set for release September 18. Riley says the song came together quickly during a writing session with Jessi Alexander, Erik Dylan and Wyatt McCubbin.
There’s another cool connection here, too. A portion of the proceeds from the song will benefit the Toby Keith Foundation, which supports children battling cancer and their families.
Give “Think As You Drunk” a listen above and see if you catch Toby’s voice at the end.
