Wyatt Flores is getting ready to release his sophomore album, Scared of Heights, on July 31.
The 13-track project follows Flores’ acclaimed 2024 debut Welcome to the Plains and marks his first full-length release since signing with MCA. The Oklahoma native has already given fans an early taste of the record with songs including “Drive All Night” and “Runnin’ On E,” and another new track, “Half The Man,” is set to arrive this week.
According to Flores, Scared of Heights reflects a difficult but important period in his life as he worked through struggles with self-worth and mental health while finding renewed confidence in himself and his music.
The album was produced by Charlie Handsome, Jacob “JKash” Hindlin, and Gian Stone. Flores has said the project expands his sound with influences from early 2000s rock while still holding onto the honest, vulnerable songwriting that helped build his fan base.
The new album features 13 songs, including fan-favorite live previews like “Sleepless Lullaby,” “The Way I Do,” and the title track, “Scared of Heights.”
Flores has quickly become one of the most talked-about young artists in country and Red Dirt music, and this next release could be his biggest step forward yet.
