Last year, Dolly Parton announced she was teaming up with Tennessean Travel Stop to bring a little rhinestone-covered Southern hospitality to the highway. Now, the wait is almost over.
The very first Dolly-themed travel stop officially opens June 24 in Cornersville, Tennessee, right off Interstate 65 about an hour south of Nashville.
And yes… it sounds exactly as over-the-top and Dolly-fied as you’d hope.
The revamped location will feature DLY BBQ, Cup of Ambition Coffee, a full restaurant and café, plus something called the Doggy Parton Dog Park, which honestly might be the greatest name ever created.
There will also be live music with a stage and lounge area, exclusive Dolly merchandise, a custom mural for photo ops, and even a tour bus inspired by Dolly’s own.
This is just the first location getting the Dolly makeover, with more travel stops expected to open across the country in the future.
If you want updates on the grand opening festivities, or if you’re a local musician interested in performing there, you can sign up and learn more at DollysTravelStops.com.
