Turns out filming a cowboy show in Texas is exactly as stressful as you’d imagine.
Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show this week to talk about their new series, Dutton Ranch, and somehow the conversation quickly turned into rattlesnakes.
The pair, who fans know as Beth and Rip from Yellowstone, shared a story about filming out in Texas when the crew realized they had accidentally set up near a rattlesnake den. Not just one snake. Multiple snakes. Absolutely not.
Cole Hauser kind of laughed it off like a guy who has accepted his fate as a cowboy at this point, while Kelly Reilly looked appropriately traumatized by the whole thing. Honestly, very relatable response from her.
The new show follows Rip and Beth as they start fresh after Yellowstone, and from the sounds of it, the production is leaning fully into real ranch life and real Texas locations. Which apparently includes surprise snake encounters just casually hanging out nearby.
Kelly and Cole still have that same chemistry everybody loved on Yellowstone, and watching them tell the story together honestly feels like Beth and Rip in real life.
One thing is for sure: if there’s anybody equipped to survive a rattlesnake den, it’s probably those two.
