Fort Worth is about to turn into the center of the Western sports world.
The 2026 PBR World Finals: Unleash The Beast is heading back to Cowtown from May 7 through May 17, bringing nearly two full weeks of bull riding, rodeo competition, live music, and fan experiences to the Fort Worth Stockyards and Dickies Arena.
This marks the sixth time the event has been held in Texas, and it is once again shaping up to be one of the biggest Western sports celebrations in the country.
At the heart of it all is the PBR World Finals competition, featuring a $3.3 million purse, the richest in bull riding, including a $1 million bonus for the World Champion. Riders will compete in early rounds at Cowtown Coliseum before the championship rounds move to Dickies Arena later in the event.
This is not just about bull riding.
The event also includes the 2026 Premier Women’s Rodeo Championship, happening May 12 through May 15 at Cowtown Coliseum. The all-women’s competition highlights top athletes across multiple disciplines, with a focus on expanding opportunities and visibility in women’s rodeo.
Beyond the arena, fans can expect a full lineup of Western-themed entertainment and experiences across the Stockyards, many of them free to attend.
That includes live music performances throughout the final weekend, a fan fest with daily entertainment, a parade through the Stockyards, drone shows lighting up the Fort Worth sky, and unique events like the PBR Ariat Boot Trot race and UBF Midnight Bullfights.
Additional events will showcase everything from youth bull riding and miniature bull competitions to cultural celebrations like the Bill Pickett Rodeo and the Spirit of Mexico Rodeo, highlighting the diversity and history of Western sports.
There are also community-focused events like Cowboy Church services, charity initiatives benefiting Western athletes, and family-friendly fan experiences happening throughout the run.
Tickets for the main events at Cowtown Coliseum and Dickies Arena are on sale now and can be purchased online at https://pbrworldfinals.com, while many of the surrounding activities in the Stockyards are free and open to the public.
If you are looking for a reason to get out and do something very Texas this May, this is about as big as it gets.
