Kacey Musgraves just released “Middle of Nowhere,” the title track from her upcoming album, along with an official lyric video.
The new project, Middle of Nowhere, is set to drop on May 1, 2026, and will be her first full-length release since Deeper Well in 2024.
The title isn’t just a phrase. It comes from a real sign in her hometown of Golden, Texas, that reads “Somewhere in the middle of nowhere.” That idea carries through the album, which leans into themes of feeling caught between places, both physically and emotionally.
The full project is also expected to feature collaborations with Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, and Billy Strings.
