A bunch of national chains are offering freebies, discounts, and some pretty clever “1040” promos on April 15. It’s basically the one day of the year where handing your money over to the IRS comes with a side of donuts or a cheap burger.
Here’s a look at some of the best Tax Day deals for 2026:
- Krispy Kreme – Buy one dozen donuts, get a second dozen Original Glazed for free or just pay the sales tax
- Burger King – Royal Perks members can get a cheeseburger for just 1 cent with a $1+ purchase

- Wendy’s – Free 6-piece nuggets with a $5 purchase in the app
- Popeyes – Around 25% off tenders combos, plus extra app deals
- Pizza Hut – Large three-topping pizzas starting around $10
- California Pizza Kitchen – $10 off $40 for rewards members
- BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse – $10 off $40 for dine-in or takeout

- Jersey Mike’s Subs – Beginning Monday, April 13, customers can get the Boardwalk Bundle at Jersey Mike’s Subs locations nationwide. Starting at $10.99, the bundle includes a #2 regular Jersey Shore’s Favorite sub, chips and a drink.
- Olive Garden – The OG has brought back its Buy One, Take One promotion until May 3rd. Customers can order from a select menu of entrées and get a second, chilled entrée to-go starting at $14.99. The offer is available for dine-in, to-go and for delivery.
- Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers – offering customers who have the Freddy’s Rewards app 250 bonus points with any purchase on April 15. The points can be redeemed for future Freddy’s orders via drive-thru, in-restaurant, pickup or delivery.
