The four-time Grammy Award-winner and 1974 CMA Female Vocalist of the Year passed away on Monday morning at her ranch in Southern California, her Facebook page confirmed.
“Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends,” the post read.
“Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer.”
According to an obituary posted to the star’s Facebook, Newton-John passed has been fighting metastatic breastcancer for 30-years.
“Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer.
An international name, she released If You Love Me, Let Me Know in 1974 and became #1 country album where it stayed for eight weeks. The releaes won her the 1974 Country Music Association Award (CMA) for Female Vocalist of the Year.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made in her memory to the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund.
