Maybe it was a good idea Matthew McConaughey decided to not run for Governor of Texas. It appears he’s doing just as much for his fellow man and having a good time doing it.
During the 10th annual Mack, Jack, and McConaughey Charity Gala at ACL Live at the Moody Theater, McConaughey joined special guest Kenny Chesney on stage and sang along with him and then played backup bongos.
Here’s Matt singing along to “When The Sun Goes Down”

Then he decided to take it back a little to the skill he once did naked while at home, playing the bongo drums.

Of course Mack, Jack, and McConaughey Charity Gala is a great event to raise money for funds for charities that help children’s education, health, and wellness. The event is hosted by McConaughey, former Texas Longhorn football coach Mack Brown and country singer Jack Ingram.
Thanks to @McConaughey for having me in Austin, TX tonight for a great cause! Love ya brother. pic.twitter.com/qnV7ONfH03
