It’s almost time to “spring forward.”
On Sunday, March 11th, many Americans will turn their clocks one hour ahead for Daylight Saving Time (DST). This lost hour of sleep can leave many of us feeling tired and sluggish.
Here are a few tips to help you make the adjustment with ease:
1. Catch up on sleep before the weekend.
2. Go to bed at your usual time after the time change.
3. Get up at your usual time regularly.
4. Get sunlight soon after awakening; go outside for a walk.
5. Avoid sunlight or bright light in the evening.
6. Don’t nap within a few hours of your regular bedtime.
7. Avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol for several hours before bedtime.
