Did you know we had a social media influencer in our midst? From the latest bridle coat to the ‘in’ on the floppiest ears, Brock knows he’s the voice of his doggy generation! Like any good social media guru, Brock has his own hashtag #brockstar! Back in the day, you could see him hanging out in many a public place as the exemplary spokesdog of APA!
Of course, Brock isn’t all fluff. He understands the finer things in life – a soft bed, green grass to lounge in and nice strolls around the block. He knows all the ins and outs of living in a home and has been able to co-exist with chickens in the past and could also go home with a well-matched doggie sibling.
He’s also quite the ‘Brockstar’ when it comes down to his skills. He walks nicely on leash, sits and shakes on commands and has the sweetest flop into your lap when he’s ready for snuggles.
As a Canine Good Citizen trainee Brock enjoys learning new things where he works with a volunteer trainer several times a week toward the goal of passing the American Kennel Club’s CGC test. To pass the CGC test, a dog must demonstrate obedience and general reliability in real world situations. Dogs in the CGC program learn to sit calmly when approached by strangers or another dog, how to greet people appropriately, stay in a sit or down until told “free,” and come when called.
Brock has been working hard to be a dog you can take anywhere with pride, and as part of APA’s CGC program you can work with APA to continue to build a training relationship with him after adoption and get officially CGC certified for free!
