Texas Athletics is proud to announce Hayes Carll as the headliner of Longhorn City Limits, taking place prior to Texas Football’s Big 12 Conference game versus West Virginia on Saturday, Nov. 3. For nearly two decades, Carll has firmly established himself as a next-generation singer and writer in the Townes Van Zandt/Guy Clark/Ray Wylie Hubbard style of maverick country-folk. His album “KMAG YOYO” won the Americana Music Association’s Album of the Year award in 2011. He is currently touring behind his latest LP “Lovers and Leavers,” which earned him a sweep of the 2016-2017 Austin Music Awards including Austin Musician of the Year, Album of the Year and five more awards.
Hayes recently finished recording his upcoming album titled, “What It Is,” and it will be released this February 15, 2019 on Dualtone Records.
Joining Carll on the lineup is Dalton Domino. A native Texan, Domino blends red dirt country and southern rock into his own sound. His latest LP “Corners” is his most soul-baring effort.
