Willie Nelson joined his sons Lukas and Micah for a powerful performance of ‘Turn Off The News (And Build A Garden)’.
The song is the 2019 title track from Lukas’s group Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real. Some of the lyrics seem like they were written for the current conditions.
“Turn off the news and raise your kids
Give them something to believe in
Teach them how to be good people
Give them hope that they can see”
We could all use a message like that.
