Last night’s Grand Ole Opry performance by Brad Paisley, Vince Gill and Marty Stuart was historic in a number of ways.
The trio played in front of an empty room to make it the 4,916th consecutive Saturday night the Grand Ole Opry was broadcast. It was also the first show since the passing of country music legend Kenny Rogers.
Vince Gill opened the show with a favorite Kenny song of his ‘Sweet Music Man’. Paisley beautifully blended his hit ‘This Is Country Music’ with the Kenny Rogers classic ‘The Gambler’.
