A big-hearted seven-year-old cancer survivor has created a way to give back … with care packages for kids who are sick and in the hospital like she was.
Jenny Shaw of Rochester, NY said she knows what it’s like to be lonely and without your stuff when you are sick – so she started making care packages filled with coloring books, crayons, toothbrushes and beanies for you chemotherapy patients in her area.
She enjoyed doing it so much, that she turned to Go Fund Me for a little help. So far this year she has raised over $50,000 and given out 1000 care packages.
As for Shaw, she has completed her last round of chemo and is going on a Hawaiian vacation courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
