Brothers Osborne have joined forces with Texas country star Cody Johnson for a brand-new collaboration, “Born and Raised Hell,” a nostalgic anthem about growing up, raising a little trouble and never forgetting where you came from.
The song appears on Brothers Osborne’s fifth studio album, Watertown, released October 23. The 11-track project takes brothers John and TJ Osborne back to their roots in Deale, Maryland, with music inspired by their hometown, their upbringing and the experiences that shaped them.
This isn’t the first time the artists have worked together. Brothers Osborne appeared on Johnson’s album Banks of the Trinity earlier this year for the song “Fool Proof,” making this new duet something of a reunion.
Written by John Osborne, Lee Miller and Kendell Marvel, “Born and Raised Hell” celebrates the memories, mischief and hometown pride that stay with you long after you’ve grown up and moved away.
The accompanying music video, directed by Nick Swift and filmed in Nashville, has a vintage feel, featuring the three artists performing together in a garage alongside scenes of youthful adventures.
“Born and Raised Hell” is scheduled to impact country radio November 2, but fans can already enjoy the song and its official music video.
