Texas country favorite Parker McCollum is giving fans a new way to enjoy some of his biggest hits and longtime favorites with the release of his latest project, Live From Sound City.
The 15-track acoustic album, released October 13 through MCA, features stripped-down versions of songs from throughout McCollum’s career, putting the focus on his unmistakable vocals and songwriting without the full production of the original recordings.
The collection includes familiar hits like “Handle On You” and “To Be Loved By You,” along with fan favorites “Diamonds and Gasoline,” “Jet Plane to GA,” “One Less Mouth,” “Far, Far Away,” and “South of the City Lights.”
The project also revisits several deeper cuts from McCollum’s catalog, giving longtime fans an opportunity to hear some of his earlier material in a different setting.
The new release comes during a busy stretch for the Texas native, who is nominated for Album of the Year at the 2026 CMA Awards. Later this month, McCollum will make his first trip to the United Kingdom and Ireland, joining fellow Texan Cody Johnson for a series of arena shows.
He’ll also be back on the road closer to home in December when he reunites with Koe Wetzel for their Naughty or Nice Tour. The Texas run includes stops in Helotes, Houston, Corpus Christi, Round Rock and Fort Worth.
For fans who have followed McCollum since his early Texas music days, Live From Sound City offers a fresh take on the songs that helped build his career, while giving newer listeners an introduction to some of the music that came before his mainstream success.
Live From Sound City is available now on major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music.
