One Miss Utah contestant is getting plenty of attention after putting a country twist on the talent competition.
Shelby Springall, the current Miss Iron County 2026, took the stage with an unusual talent: speed painting. But instead of creating just any portrait, she honored none other than Dolly Parton.
Dressed in a hot pink rhinestone jumpsuit and matching cowboy boots inspired by Dolly’s signature style, Springall painted while Parton’s classic hit “9 to 5” played throughout the auditorium. At first, the canvas looked like a collection of random brush strokes, but when the music ended, she flipped the painting over to reveal a stunning portrait of Dolly, complete with her signature. The crowd erupted in applause.
Springall later shared the performance on social media, writing, “There’s nothing like watching a blank canvas turn into something meaningful in just 90 seconds. I couldn’t go without honoring my fellow sparkly blonde gal, Dolly Parton.”
The self-taught artist said she chose Dolly because she wanted to paint someone who represents kindness, generosity, and a little bit of sparkle.
