Alan Jackson has released a brand-new recording of the classic song “Still The One.”
Originally recorded by the soft rock band Orleans, the song became one of the group’s biggest hits after its release in 1976. Written by John Hall and Johanna Hall, “Still The One” reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has remained a favorite for nearly 50 years.
Country fans may also remember that Bill Anderson recorded the song in 1977. His version reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart, making Alan Jackson the latest country artist to put his own spin on the timeless hit.
Jackson’s version stays true to the original while adding his signature traditional country sound. The release comes just days before his farewell concert, Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale, which takes place Saturday at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
Earlier this week, Jackson teased the release on social media with a short clip of the song and the caption, “She’s ‘Still The One.'”
