Cody Johnson has released a brand new track titled “I Want You,” giving fans the first listen from his upcoming project.
The song marks the latest release from the Texas native as he continues building toward his next studio album.
“I Want You” was written by Tom Douglas, Tony Lane, and Matt Rogers.
Johnson recently announced that his new record, Banks Of The Trinity, is set to arrive on June 26.
The album pulls heavily from his Texas roots, with the title inspired by his childhood in Sebastopol.
Johnson has shared that the project reflects memories of growing up along the Trinity River, including time spent riding dirt roads and stopping by the LawrenceGrocery Store, a local spot that helped shape the feel of the record.
