If you’ve ever wondered what it really feels like to chase a dream in Nashville… Ashley Monroe just put it all out there.
She surprise released a brand new album, Dear Nashville, and it’s not your typical rollout or your typical record.
This is an eight-song concept album that digs into her complicated relationship with Music City… the highs, the heartbreak, and everything in between.
Ashely has always been one of the most respected songwriters in town… but never really played the industry game the way Nashville expects. This project feels like her finally saying exactly what she’s been holding back.
The album was produced by Monroe alongside Luke Laird, and it all started with the song “I Hate Nashville.”
She’s described the record as a letter to the city, dedicating it to “all the dreamers who never stop dreamin’.”
And honestly… that’s the heart of it.
This isn’t just “I hate Nashville” for shock value. It’s more like … loving something so much that it breaks your heart a little.
If you like your country music real, a little messy, and actually saying something… this one’s worth your time.
