Flatland Cavalry return today with their fifth studio album, Work of Heart.
The new 12 track project was recorded at Matchbox Studios in Austin with producer Dwight A. Baker, and continues a strong run for the Texas based band.
Frontman Cleto Cordero had a hand in every song on the record, working alongside a group of respected Nashville writers including Aaron Eshuis, Luke Laird, Aaron Raitiere, and Rodney Clawson.
Cordero says the album reflects a season of growth, both personally and creatively.
“This album is a collection of songs of life, love, and loss collected over a season of living, learning, and growing,” he shared. “My approach has been the same the whole time in the sense of showing up to write a song with all my heart, my mind, and soul.”
Fans have already gotten a preview with songs like “Gone,” “On and On,” and “Never Comin’ Back,” which was recently released to country radio.
Flatland Cavalry have also been busy on the road, supporting Lainey Wilson overseas earlier this year, with their own headlining tour now underway across the U.S.
Work of Heart is out now everywhere you stream music.
