Hudson Westbrook is having a moment right now… and it just got a whole lot bigger.
The rising Texas artist made his first-ever daytime TV appearance, sitting down with Drew Barrymore to talk about how he got here, and what almost didn’t happen.
Before music took over, Westbrook was actually on a completely different path. He had plans to become a landman and was in college working toward that goal… until everything changed.
At some point, the music started to take priority, and instead of finishing school, he made the decision to go all in.
It’s a risky move, but one that’s clearly paying off.
During the interview, Westbrook talks about following in his family’s footsteps, his background, and how quickly things have taken off since he made that leap. You can tell he’s still wrapping his head around it a little bit, which honestly makes it even better to watch.
For an artist who’s still early in his career, landing a national daytime show like The Drew Barrymore Show is a pretty big deal… and another sign that more people are paying attention.
We’ll let you watch the full interview above.
