Texas favorite Parker McCollum took a little bit of Texas country to a national audience this week with a performance on Today.
McCollum stopped by the morning show to perform “Big Ole Fancy House,” a song fans have already been talking about quite a bit. The track leans into that classic country idea that sometimes the things you think will make you happy, like money, success, and the big house on the hill, don’t always turn out the way you imagined.
The song was written by McCollum along with three powerhouse Nashville songwriters: Lori McKenna, Liz Rose, and Hillary Lindsey. Between the four of them, that’s a pretty serious lineup of songwriting talent.
