Turnpike Troubadours are credited on a song featured on Yo Gabba Gabba!, “Sunrise, Sunset.”
The band is best known for Red Dirt country and sharp storytelling, but this isn’t a pivot or a reinvention. Frontman Evan Felker is a dad now, and sometimes that simply means your music shows up in different places than it used to.
This isn’t Turnpike reinventing themselves or chasing something new. It’s simply good musicians showing up in another corner of life, where songs are still about melody, feeling, and connection … just aimed at a younger audience.
We think it is precious.
Sometimes good bands, and dads, just end up in new places.
