Big moment alert for one of Texas’ fastest-rising voices. Ty Myers officially made his late-night television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night.
If you’ve been watching Myers’ trajectory over the past year, this feels like one of those “of course he did” milestones. The 18-year-old singer/songwriter has been building real momentum with his mix of country, blues, and soul, not to mention viral fans who can’t stop streaming tracks like “Thought It Was Love” and “Ends of the Earth.”
On Fallon, Myers leaned into that sound and performed “Thought It Was Love,” the breakout single that really introduced him to the wider world. Cool stage setup, confident delivery, zero gimmicks — just a Texas kid with a guitar, a killer voice, and a national audience watching.
This performance also perfectly timed, he wrapped up a nearly sold-out run on The Select Tour last fall and has more dates lined up in 2026, including support slots with Luke Combs. Safe to say, the kid is not slowing down.
Texas continues to send some serious talent into the world, and it’s pretty fun watching the rest of America catch up. Congrats to Ty on a huge milestone. We’ve been saying it for a while, but now it feels official: he’s one to watch.
More of this energy in 2026, please.
