Over the weekend in Thackerville, OK, Texas’s own Miranda Lambert gave fans a surprise: she performed “Choosin’ Texas,” a tune she co-wrote, for the very first time live.
What made it even sweeter? At the end, she threw in a little Texas flair. After singing the final lines, she added a proud “Dang right she is!” just to make sure everyone knew this is a real Lone Star woman singing about a Texas kind of heartbreak.
For fans of Ella Langley, whose version topped the Hot Country Songs chart recently, this live cover from Miranda was a heartfelt nod to her friend and co-writer and a reminder of why we love country music.
