Big news for one of our favorite Oklahoma-turned-Texas country voices, Kaitlin Butts has officially signed with Republic Records!
You might remember Kaitlin from her viral hit “You Ain’t Gotta Die (To Be Dead To Me)” – the one that took over TikTok with more than 157 million views and 67 million global streams. Well, it looks like Nashville took notice too.
Along with the record deal, Kaitlin also announced her new EP “Yeehaw Sessions,” dropping November 14th. The project includes covers of The Chicks, Jimmy Eat World, and Chappell Roan, plus a new version of her viral single. She’ll be celebrating with a release show at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth.
It’s been a huge year for her, she was featured in the Country Music Hall of Fame’s American Currents exhibit, named to the 2025 Opry Next Stage Class, and recognized by CMT’s Next Women of Country. And now? She’s taking that momentum straight into a major label deal.
We love to see a Texas-scene favorite leveling up while staying true to her roots. Congrats, Kaitlin! We can’t wait to hear what’s next!
Keep an eye out for “Yeehaw Sessions” on November 14 and follow @kaitlinbutts for updates.
