The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services is currently raising funds to purchase a catering truck to aid in the services they provide during disasters. They have raised more than $46,000 but they need an additional $8,000 to reach the goal. Their current mobile kitchen is a great tool for cooking hot meals and serving single meals but can be only centrally stationed at the disaster site.
The new truck will be able to deliver and serve hot meals, snacks and cold drinks to first responders and survivors in hard-to-reach areas.
