If you thought you’d already seen every clip, concert, and hip-shake Elvis Presley ever filmed, think again! A brand-new documentary called “EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert” is on the way, and it’s promising never-before-seen footage of The King like we’ve never experienced him before.
The film comes from none other than Baz Luhrmann, the visionary director behind the 2022 biopic Elvis, and it’s being called part-concert film, part-documentary, and part-time capsule. The team behind it recently discovered nearly 59 hours of long-lost footage in Kansas of reels of film that hadn’t seen the light of day in decades.
According to early reports, the project will pull from an incredible mix of material including rare 16mm film from Elvis on Tour, 8mm footage from his home in Graceland, and restored concert clips from his Vegas years. Basically, it’s a treasure chest of Elvis history that’s been sitting unseen…until now.
What makes this one special is the way it’s told. Rather than relying on talking heads or modern narration, EPiC will let Elvis tell his own story, using vintage interviews, live performances, and behind-the-scenes moments.
Luhrmann says the goal is to give fans a concert experience that feels like a brand-new world tour one that takes The King’s voice and presence back out on the road in 2026, decades after his last real tour. Universal and NEON have teamed up to distribute the film globally, and they plan to screen it everywhere from small-town theaters to major cities around the world.
It’s being described as a full-on cinematic celebration, blending cutting-edge restoration, surround-sound concert mixes, and jaw-dropping visuals that bring you closer to Elvis than ever before.
No exact release date just yet, but 2026 is shaping up to be a big year for Elvis fans everywhere.
