Well, here’s some news that’ll make any Texas music fan breathe a sigh of relief – Coupland Dancehall has been saved!
That’s right, the historic honky-tonk that was this close to fading into Texas history is getting a brand-new lease on life, thanks to the folks at Lightstream Presents, the same crew behind all those amazing shows at Haute Spot in Cedar Park.
Starting this fall, Lightstream will officially take over live entertainment programming at Coupland Dancehall. That means the dancehall’s famous wooden floors, neon glow, and true Texas spirit aren’t going anywhere.
If you’ve ever been to Haute Spot, you already know the Lightstream vibe – great sound, friendly faces, and a lineup that somehow blends Nashville names with hometown heroes. Now, they’re bringing that same energy to Coupland, ensuring this Texas treasure keeps two-stepping into the future.
The dancehall will close temporarily on October 12th for a quick refresh, then swing its doors back open on Friday, November 7th, with Aaron Watson headlining the grand reopening show. Talk about a perfect way to kick off a new chapter!
So yeah – Coupland isn’t going away, it’s coming back stronger, louder, and ready to dance again.
Stay tuned to KOKE-FM for updates, lineup announcements, and maybe even a few sneak peeks as we celebrate the saving of one of Texas’s most beloved dancehalls.
