Well y’all, here’s something we did not have on our 2025 bingo card: Sabrina Carpenter – yes, the pop princess of espresso-fueled TikTok fame – is about to step onto the hallowed stage of the Grand Ole Opry. Mark your calendars for October 7th, because apparently anything goes in country music these days.
The Opry is in the middle of its big 100th anniversary celebration, and they’ve invited Sabrina to make her debut. Traditionally, this is the place where legends like Hank, Patsy, and Dolly carved their names in stone. Now we’re adding Sabrina.
To be fair, she’s dipped a toe in the country pool before – she’s covered Shania’s “That Don’t Impress Me Much” on tour, and she’s got a couple of songs with a little twang sprinkled in. But still, Sabrina Carpenter at the Opry feels about as likely as Post Malone showing up at Luckenbach… oh wait, that happened too. Or did it? I can’t remember.
Tickets? They’re going for anywhere from $225 to $659, and yes, a lot of them are already gone. If you’ve got the cash and curiosity, she’ll be on the bill with artists like Laci Kaye Booth, Kameron Marlowe and wait for it … Kaitlin Butts!
So, will Sabrina win over the Opry crowd, or will this be one of those “bless her heart, she tried” moments? Guess we’ll find out in October.
