Born and raised in Austin, Scotty Bennett has always had Texas music in his veins. A proud Longhorn from the University of Texas, Scotty spent 25 years as the man behind the music at the legendary Dallas Nightclub — spinning records, keeping the dance floor alive, and becoming a staple in Austin nightlife.
That love for music and entertainment eventually led him to voiceover work for radio and television, and in 2012, Scotty made the leap to the airwaves full-time, joining the KOKE-FM Morning Show. For the next 12 years, his voice became part of Austin’s daily soundtrack.
In 2020, Scotty launched his own show, Texas Nights with Scotty Bennett, where his passion for Texas country music really shined. Two years later, he teamed up with longtime friend Amber Sorensen, and the duo’s undeniable chemistry took them straight to the big stage: KOKE in the Morning, which debuted in June 2024.
When he’s not waking up Central Texas with stories, music, and plenty of laughs, Scotty wears a few more hats: he owns Aces Media Solutions, keeps time as a drummer, and enjoys life at home in Round Rock.
