Megan Moroney pulled off a milestone moment at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, taking home the first-ever Best Country award for her hit single “Am I Okay?”
This was the first year the VMAs even had a country category, and Megan was up against some heavy hitters: Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson & Carrie Underwood, and Morgan Wallen.
After snagging her shiny Moon Person trophy, Megan kept it humble and sweet, saying she had “no expectations going in” but was blown away by all the love. She made sure to shout out her fans too since it was a fan-voted award, and they clearly showed up in a big way.
