The Americana Music Association just dropped the lineup for the 24th Annual Americana Honors & Awards, happening Sept. 10 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
This year’s show has some big names hitting the stage. John Fogerty is back for the first time since 2009, when he picked up the Americana Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting. Emmylou Harris and Daniel Lanois will also be there to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their iconic Wrecking Ball album, which just made it into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
The night’s stacked with performances from Darrell Scott, Dawes, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, I’m With Her, JD McPherson, Jesse Welles, Joe Henry, John C. Reilly, Joy Oladokun, Maggie Antone, Maggie Rose, Margo Price, McCrary Sisters, Medium Build, Nathaniel Rateliff, Noeline Hofmann, and Old 97’s.
Actor and musician John C. Reilly will host, and the list of presenters is just as impressive; Brandi Carlile, Rodney Crowell, Rosanne Cash, Chuck Prophet, Hayes Carll, Kelsey Waldon, Matt Quinn, S.G. Goodman, Ruston Kelly, Tift Merritt, Ann Powers, Valerie June, and William Prince.
Can’t make it to Nashville? No worries. You can catch it live on Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m. CT via NPR’s YouTube channel or the Americana Music Association’s Facebook page and if you miss it live, it’ll air later this fall during the Austin City Limits TV slot in November.
