Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce just broke the internet (again). On August 26, 2025, the pop queen and the Kansas City Chiefs star tight end officially announced they’re getting married and the whole world collectively screamed…except for those sad sacks online that couldn’t wait to post, “Who cares?” on every single Facebook post they saw.
Their joint Instagram post was pure gold: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” Honestly? Iconic.
Travis popped the question in the most Taylor-approved way possible: a dreamy garden filled with flowers and arches that looked straight out of a Love Story music video. Fans are already pointing out the Easter eggs…because, of course, Taylor timed the post for 1 p.m. (aka the 13th hour.)
The ring is just as extra as you’d expect. Travis worked with Artifex Fine Jewelry to design a stunning Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond with vintage vibes, modern sparkle, and 100% Swift-worthy. Honestly, it’s giving “Bejeweled.”
Remember back in summer 2023 when Travis admitted on his podcast that he tried to give Taylor a friendship bracelet with his number on it? That silly little moment turned into one of the biggest pop culture love stories ever. From cheering him on at Chiefs games to turning the Super Bowl into the “Taylor Swift Bowl,” these two have been a headline-making power couple since day one.
The congratulations are already flooding social media. Patrick and Brittany Mahomes were quick to chime in, calling the pair “two of the most genuine people.” The NFL even sent out a post (though, in very NFL fashion, they accidentally tagged the wrong Swift).
