Granger Smith has announced that he is stepping away from the music world.
Granger shared a lengthy video to his social media Tuesday Afternoon announcing his retirement. He announced that he will be going on his last tour run this year and ending it in August.
In the video he explained how he felt called to step away from music and pursue ministry full-time.
Smith also announced he has a book coming out on August 1st “Like A River” and he has been attending seminary school. The book will be about how Granger & his wife Amber put their faith in God when they lost their son River in a tragic accident in 2019.

This summer will be my last tour. I am so encouraged and hopeful and excited and joyful about the next chapter, but to a large extent, I have no idea what it will look like. I just want to glorify God the best way that I can. I want to learn and grow and serve my local church and allow my pastors to equip and affirm those next steps. Lord willing, I want to be used to help people find their purpose.”
