Brittany Aldean launches a line to help combat human trafficking and child exploitation after a social media spat over child transgender issues.
It started with a social media post on Aldean’s Instagram with the caption, “I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life.”

That sparked reaction from country artists including Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris who called out the comments as transphobic. Morris calling Aldean “Insurrection Barbie,” is what inspired Aldean’s latest line of clothing with sister-in-law Kasi Wicks, the wife of Country Singer-Songwriter Chuck Wicks.

The “Don’t Tread On Our Kids” line is available at brittanyandkasi.com and Aldean says proceeds will go to support the non-profit organization Operation Light Shine which fights human trafficking and child exploitation.
Aldean said on Instagram, “Instead of getting twisted about the twisting of my words, I’ve chosen to bring some good out of it.”
Aldean and husband, Country Music Star Jason Aldean have been vocal supporters of Former President Trump and often express conservative viewpoints including their disapproval of the current administration.
