You don’t see that every day, and it’s a good thing.
During a close College Baseball game that had Weatherford facing off against North Central Texas College, Weatherford’s first baseman Josh Phillips hit a home run and during his lap Pitcher Owen Woodward decided he need to let out some frustration by tackling Josh full speed.
In a game between NCTC & Weatherford,
Josh Phillips hits a go ahead home run and the weatherford pitcher LEVELS him while he’s rounding the bases…

Who knows, maybe Josh said something as he was running, but it looks like he received a hard hit.
This ain’t hockey.
Weatherford coach Jeff Lightfoot he said, “We are shocked and disappointed.”
The game was stopped after the hit and police conducted a report.
