Country music fans are going to have to wait a little longer for the Trace Adkins and Susan Sarandon show ‘Monarch’.
Fox planned on debuting the show after the NFC Championship game on January 30th but has delayed it til the fall. The network noted “unavoidable realities of the pandemic and profound impact COVID-19 continues to have on our industry” as reason for shifting “Monarch” into a to-be-determined slot later this year. As the cornerstone of [Fox’s] new 2022-23 slate, shifting a show of this magnitude allows us to have its entire first season produced, create additional, high-profile content and promotional windows to support launch, and give our viewers the best opportunity to enjoy the series as intended with a non-compromised run of episodes,”
The show will follow “the first family of country music” the Romans who are a fictional Texas family who have a bunch of drama.
Caitlyn Smith sings the theme and it was just released last week.
